Herbalism, at its core, involves the use of plants to treat medical conditions, promote well-being, and support overall health. Beyond their medicinal benefits, plants have played a significant role in human history, not only for physical healing but also in spiritual practices.

Our connection to the plant world is innate, without it, life as we know it would not exist. Thus, herbalism is more than just a means of healing; it is a pathway to reconnecting with nature and honoring our ancestors.

What is Herbalism?

As we walk this plant path and gather medicine from the heart of Nature, it begins to sprout and grow within us into a living inner forest where we ourselves become the medicine. - Sajah Popham

Plant walks and Workshops

Learning happens when we engage with the world around us, smelling a flower, tasting wild herbs, touching leaves, and listening to the sounds of the forest. By immersing ourselves in our senses, we come into direct contact with plants and develop a much deeper understanding of them than we could ever gain from simply reading about them in books.

On my plant walks, which I offer for individuals, groups, and businesses, we explore the plant world through our senses while discovering their uses and medicinal properties.

After getting to know the plants in their natural environment, the next step is to mindfully harvest them and transform them into tinctures, salves, natural cosmetics, and more. In my workshops, I teach the art of processing herbs and crafting them into these valuable creations.

Whether you're interested in a short herb walk to get to know the local plants, or you're looking for a more in-depth experience where you can create and take home your own herbal products, feel free to reach out! Client Reviews

“With her profound expertise and incredibly pleasant personality, Leonie introduced us to natural fragrances in a truly special way during a workshop. A world I already knew well opened up to me in a whole new light. Synthetic fragrances are totally out of the question for me now. Leonie also inspired me to make my own creams. Fantastic!!! ”

— Maria, Participant in Aromatherapy workshop

“The 'Medicinal Herbs' workshop with Leonie was a lot of fun. With her extensive knowledge and lively manner, she showed me the local herbs in spring. After the herb walk, I was able to make oxymel with the herbs I had collected. To finish, Leonie treated everyone to her delicious herbal snacks. A thoroughly enjoyable and educational experience! THANK YOU!.”

— Uta, Participant at Medicinal Herb Workshop

“When Leonie is explaining about plants and essential oils you can hear her deep knowledge from a long lived relationship with the plants through all her gardenwork. But above all I got inspired by her love and awe for the gifts of each particular plant. She made me realize how special it is that they all have their unique properties and that we can make use of them in many different ways, from cooking, to smelling to skin care.”

— Rosmarijn, Participant at herbalsim and aromatherapy workshop

Herbal Products

The art of transforming plants, mindfully grown and carefully harvested, into products that nourish both our bodies and the earth is a practice that fosters not only autonomy but also deep self-care.

I have always cherished working with plants, using my hands to better understand their essence and observing the transformative processes they undergo. A simple plant can become a powerful source of medicine or an essential ingredient in natural cosmetics that nurture our skin while allowing us to avoid chemical-laden alternatives.

All my products are crafted exclusively by me, with a commitment to using only natural and organic ingredients to ensure the highest quality. The plants I use are either cultivated in my own garden, responsibly wild foraged, or sourced from other small-scale producers who share my values.

As a trained aromatherapist, I incorporate a diverse range of essential oils and hydrosols into my creations. These are carefully blended not only to provide physical benefits to the skin but also to support emotional well-being, offering balance and care through the different stages of life.
